In the beginning, my best friend, Molly Graham, asked me to walk with her so she could stop by an office. I agreed and accompanied Miss Molly across campus. Upon arriving at the entrance of the "extended studies" office, I asked molly where we were. In response, Molly essentially told me that we were here to make my dreams come true. I have always commented to friends and family my love for travel and desire to live in another country. I have always been a snail in the world of travels -- my home is where I journey.
We entered the office and had a brief overview for what would be expected of us if we were to study for a semester abroad. Twitterpated, we left in a flurry naming all the locations that were available and appealing to our traveling expectations.
Research led us originally Costa Rica because of the financial reality of the program. However, the program book led us astray when it did not list the English courses. So we turned to Australia in excitement until we calculated the estimated sum of our ONE semester equaling our FOUR years at BSU. We quickly decided on Costa Rica again with continuation of English courses listed online.
Needless to say, Molly and I have been accepted into USAC's Costa Rican Program. The day I was accepted, I received a fortune cookie stating "you will soon travel to an exotic place to learn more about yourself." Perfect and Thrilling.
With a load of time working on scholarships, paperwork, to-early-to-be-put-together packing lists, and our current schooling--- Molly and I have reaped the benefits. We have both been awarded multiple scholarships, along with networking channels of people we can visit while we are in Costa Rica.
God is good, and He works in the most beautiful ways.
To be continued.....
